How to Clean a Cutting Board with Enviro-One

Cleaning your cutting board regularly with a nontoxic cleaner is vital to maintaining hygiene and preventing cross-contamination. With Enviro-One’s Nontoxic Green Cleaner, you can safely and effectively clean your cutting boards without using harsh chemicals.

Dilution Ratios

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cleaner

Choose the appropriate dilution based on your product:

  • Use a 5:1 dilution for the Concentrate.
  • Use a 10:1 dilution for the Super Concentrate.

Mix the cleaner with water in a spray bottle for easy application.

2. Apply the Solution

Spray the diluted Enviro-One solution generously over the cutting board. Ensure all surfaces are covered, especially areas with stains or residue.

3. Scrub

Use a scrub brush or non-abrasive sponge to scrub the cutting board. For wooden boards, scrub along the grain to avoid damage.

4. Let it Sit

Allow the cleaner to sit on the surface for 2-3 minutes. This ensures it effectively breaks down grease, stains, and bacteria.

5. Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse the cutting board under warm running water, ensuring no cleaner residue remains.

6. Deodorize (Optional)

For stubborn odors, reapply the solution and let it sit for 5 minutes before rinsing again.

7. Dry Completely

Use a clean towel to dry the cutting board, or let it air dry in an upright position. For wooden cutting boards, apply a small amount of food-grade mineral oil after cleaning to maintain the wood.

Tips for Best Results

  • Clean cutting boards immediately after use to prevent buildup.
  • Use separate boards for raw meats and vegetables to avoid cross-contamination.
  • Avoid soaking wooden cutting boards in water to prevent warping or cracking.
